What a great place. We went there as a large group to celebrate a special occasion and the food was amazing, the service was great but mostly, we felt at home. I'd go back there again in a second.

This is an excellent restaurant. The owners, Dieter is an exceptional cook and Kirsten a warm an attentive server. We return over and over for great meals.

Owners prepare and serve excellent food themselves and the restaurant is beautiful. Our meal included several vegetables from their own garden. A lovely experience!

For my wife's 65th birthday I had made a reservation to eat at the Gables, but covid-19 prevented us. Instead we chose delivery. The order was delivered right on time and was absolutely delicious and hot. We had the wild mushroom crostini as our appetizer. It alone was amazingly flavourful. The Caesar salad had the more traditional taste with crispy light croutons, but not the heavy, creamy dressing. My wife had the Pollo Marsala and I had the Involtini. Both entrees were great and were accompanied by roast potatoes and vegetables. The roast vegetables were the best I've ever had - a great variety, top quality, perfectly done with wonderful, mouth satisfying taste. The food could not be plated as beautifully as the in restaurant experience, but we slid ours off onto our plates at home. Not bad actually. My wife was thoroughly satisfied and so was I.

My family and I have been dining at The Gables Restaurant for over 30 years! Special occasions, business celebrations and so much more. We are known as "the steak people" and have never been disappointed with how delicious and well presented the meals have been and Kirsten and Dieter are the most gracious and welcoming hosts each and every time. This is the place to go for an amazing dining experience!

Gorgeous setting, great tasting food but skimpy protein portions for Toronto prices. Unhelpful with big group :(Go on your own as couples.

There are few 'dining rooms' where the decor, the food, the comfort max out a rating, where you feel relaxed as you experience the ultimate in fine cuisine, The Gables is this dining room. Located in Brighton a small community gateway to Presqu'ile Provincial Park, neighbour to Prince Edward County vineyards, Northumberland Hills, numerous art studios and naturally pleasing activities, the restaurant is truly worthy of visit for lunch or dinner. Frequented by locals and visitors and favoured by internationally famous writers, directors, producers, actors and celebrities who visit or own property in the area gives a solid indication of the ambiance provided by the owners. We return as often as we can and have never been disappointed.
